DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY LEADS TO ARREST
Travis Brent Litt
On Wednesday, January 7th at approximately 3:30pm, the Hampshire County 911 Center
received a call from a female in the New Sunrise Summit area reporting that a male subject was
outside destroying her car.

Deputies responding to the residence met the male subject walking along the road, who was
identified as Travis Brent Litt, age 28 of Burlington.  Litt immediately surrendered to responding
officers.  Upon arrival at the residence of the complainant, it was learned that Litt had reportedly
struck the car with a hammer.  All four tires were cut, and the every window and mirror on the car
was broken out.  

Litt was apparently an ex-boyfriend of one of the residents in the house in New Sunrise.  He was
arrested and charged with felony destruction of property,and remanded to the Potomac
Highlands Regional Jail to await arraignment on those charges.  Litt was currently out on bond
for a domestic battery charge out of Harrison County, WV.  That bond was also revoked.

Responding deputies were; Cpl. Greg Kesner, Cpl. Jamie Carter, Deputy Mechelle Sabin, and
Deputy Stuart Davis.
